Trevor Warren is an English musician, composer and producer. Born in London, he began playing the guitar in 1982, he was taught jazz by John Etheridge and John Parricelli and has released several albums under his own name, his bands Deva and Disassembler.  Trevor has worked with Ayub Ogada, Paul Weller, Oren Kaplan, Seb Rochford, Mark Lockheart, Annie Whitehead, Winston Clifford, Dave Priseman, Dudley Philips, Julian Siegel, Hossam Ramzy, Mark Robson, Graham Clark, Nic France and many more. In 2009 his band Disassembler won Best Foreign Band award at the Granada International Jazz Festival, Spain. In 2012 he travelled to Kenya to record and produce the album Kodhi by Kenyan artist Ayub Ogada, released on Long Tale Recordings in 2015. In 2016 he released ‘Blind Energy’ under the name Chivo Funge and the Extensions on 33Jazz. Currently he is working on projects with Oren Kaplan and Count Dubulah, and a tribute album to Ayub Ogada is planned for release in 2021. "Warren's striking themes and rousing arrangements lift it far above the contemporary Euro-jazz throng." **** John Fordham - The Guardian

about

New Analogue Resistance is a group of inventive and adventurous musicians who admire each other’s work, like each other, and in many cases have played in the same bands or collaborated on each other’s projects. Some are well known, some are yet to become well-known. Times are difficult for many musicians, and they aim to help each other by promoting each other’s music.
New Analogue Resistance is the brainchild of the late Nick ‘Dubulah’ Page’s, so let’s start with him. He played in the classic line-up of Transglobal Underground, who are of course featured here. So is their remarkable lead singer Natacha Atlas (several times). Nick also co-founded the Greek-influenced Xaos and Ethiopian-dub exponents Dub Colossus, who are both featured here. So are Radar Station, the band run by Dub Colossus engineer Toby Mills. He was also the engineer for Syriana, which was founded by Bernard O’Neill along with Nick. They also appear here, as do An tSli, in which Bernard is joined by the great Irish harpist Brendan Ring. Bernard also worked with the dub poetry group Chaka Chouka. He and Nick have also worked with the Canadian Juno-nominated artist Andrew McPherson, whose different projects include Eccodek and Peppermoth. And then there’s that eclectic guitarist Trevor Warren, who worked with the Kenyan star Ayub Ogada. And there’s Esbe, another fine guitarist (and singer), whose songs have been re-mixed by Dub Colossus and Transglobal. Then there’s the Native American collective Lunar Drive, who would have no existence without Nick’s encouragement and production assistance.

New, original, and with influences from around the planet. It would have been called world fusion before the music police deemed the term to be unfashionable. So global fusion, if you like. There’s electronica involved. And emotion. And enormous variety.
